It has been an honour to be your trustee for the Ottawa Catholic School Board(OCSB). I have been able to participate in many committees which directly impact our community such as the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) and the review of programming for gifted students this past year and the Student Suspension and Expulsion Committee which has encouraged the creation of a new alternative program to give students more options. As Trustee I have overseen the spending on new religious education curriculum and as a volunteer at my parish assisted with faith development of children with the preparation for First Communion and Confirmation. As Trustee it has been my privilege to hear of EQAO results that are consistently above the provincial average and hear from staff their plans to improve student achievement and learning in all areas. Excellence is not a spot on the graph but continuously striving to do better for all students. I would like to continue working for you with emphasis on Community, Faith and Excellence.
